    Quick start for venues

From a new account to your first online booking, in the order you will do it.

    Last updated

This is the short version. Each step links to the full guide. You will need your company's details, your venue's address, at least one photo of the venue and one of each room, and a bank account for Stripe. Set aside about half an hour.

    Before your venue is live#

    1. Register as a host

Open the dashboard sign-in page and choose Register as a host. Enter your company's details, then your own name, your email and a password of at least 8 characters. Choose Register and confirm my email.

The registration form: your company, then you as the owner.

Full guide: Create your account & venue.

    2. Confirm your email

We send a confirmation link to your address. It works for 24 hours. Opening it signs you in and takes you straight to the setup. No email? Check your spam folder, or use Send the link again.

    3. Describe your venue

Setup starts with your venue: its name, a description of at least 20 characters, its address, the phone number players can call and at least one photo. The time zone is worked out from the address. Choose Save and add rooms.

Setup cannot be skipped, and everything you enter is saved as you go.

    4. Add your rooms

Add at least one room with its story, group size, game duration, price and photos. You can add more rooms now or later. Full guide: Rooms.

    5. Fill in your invoicing details (Belgian companies)

If your company is in Belgium, setup asks for your VAT details and for you to accept the invoicing mandate, then to activate Peppol e-invoicing. Both let MyEscapeRoom issue room invoices in your company's name when a customer asks for one. Full guide: Invoicing & VAT profile.

    6. Connect Stripe

Choose Connect Stripe. You continue on Stripe's own pages with your business details and a bank account, which takes about ten minutes. Stripe then brings you back. You only have to have started to submit. Stripe's own check can take a few days. Full guide: Connect Stripe & get paid.

    7. Submit for verification

Choose Submit and open the dashboard. Your venue now shows Awaiting verification. Players cannot see it yet, but you can use the dashboard and carry on.

While you wait, the notice at the top of every page tells you where the venue stands.

    While you wait for verification#

    1. Set each room's weekly schedule

A room without a schedule has no sessions, so nobody can book it. Open DashboardOperateSchedule, pick a room and save its weekly start times. Full guides: Weekly schedule & slots, Special schedules & closures and Booking window.

    2. Finish Stripe if it is still open

Until Stripe has verified your account, a notice on every page says what is left. Open DashboardBusinessPayments to resume.

    3. Invite your team

Invite colleagues as hosts or admins from DashboardSetupTeam. Full guide: Team & roles.

    4. Choose how players pay and cancel

Under DashboardSetupSettings you set the payment policy, whether players may cancel themselves, and whether the booking form asks for a phone number. You can also create a discount code and put the booking widget on your own website.

    When your venue is live#

    1. Wait for the email

We email you the moment your venue is live. It is then visible to players, and its rooms can be booked.

    2. Make a test booking

Find your room on the MyEscapeRoom player site and book a session yourself. It shows up under DashboardOperateBookings and on the DashboardOperateCalendar.
